Middle School Residential 2019
This year 30 of the middle school students went on a three day, two night residential stay at St George’s House, Christian Outdoor Centre. It was the first time we’d been there but we were disappointed. The three days comprised of surfing at Putsborough, fencing and archery on site at the house and crafting -making a frame from shells collected on a beach visit. Back at the house the students (and staff) enjoyed their evenings playing in the play area with slides and zip wires or on the pool table, table football or in the games room with giant 4 in a row. Lorraine cooked the most amazing meals each night, complete with lovely puddings. But it wasn’t all a holiday away- each day teams of students had to lay the tables, clear the dishes and use the industrial dishwasher to clean up. They also had to make their own beds and at the end of the stay, strip the beds and clean the rooms ready for the next group. It was a busy, fun filled 3 days and staff and students thoroughly enjoyed their time. We are very excited to go again next year!
