Uniform

The Structure of The School

The school is organised into 3 phases, lower, middle and upper school - each housed within a particular area of the school. This enables us to keep tutor group sizes roughly equal and to cater appropriately for differing needs and abilities. It also gives the students a peer group to identify with and promotes team work amongst both staff and students.

Uniform

Lower School

Four groups made up of all our primary age students and some of our Year 7 students.

They wear a royal blue sweatshirt embroidered with the school logo, black or dark grey trousers or skirt and a plain white shirt or polo shirt.

Middle School

Five groups including the remaining Year 7s and all our Year 8 and 9 students.

They wear a purple sweatshirt embroidered with the school logo, black or dark grey trousers or skirt and a plain white shirt or polo shirt.

Upper School

Four groups made up of all our Year 10 and 11 students.

They wear a plain black sweatshirt (embroidered school logo optional), black or dark grey trousers or skirt and a plain white shirt or polo shirt.

Our school uniform can be purchased from Samuel Daw & Co, Barnstaple

Shoes and Coats

Shoes need to be plain black and suitable for walking and playing. All students will need to bring a coat to school with them in cool or wet weather.

Sport

For all sport lessons our students wear a pale blue T-shirt or polo shirt, black shorts or tracksuit trousers, plain black or dark blue tracksuit top or hooded sweatshirt and trainers.

Jewellery

Students are asked not to wear jewellery to school other than small, plain stud earrings and watches. They will be asked to remove these before some lessons as they can cause injury during sport and practical lessons. Earrings that cannot be removed must be taped over.

Make-up

Students are asked not to wear make-up to school
