Assistant Headteacher with Responsibility for Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Behaviour.
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher with energy, drive and proven professional and ethical leadership skills to work closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body to guide the school in its next stage of development.
You will need to have experience in leading on statutory safeguarding processes and have high aspirations for students with SEND, a strong commitment to the development of the school and the desire and drive to continually raise standards. You must be able to demonstrate how your initiatives have positively impacted on outcomes for learners with SEND.
This is a broad role and one which will be defined by the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

HLTA Family Liaison and Early Help Support
The HLTA Family Liaison and Early Help Support role will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and staff teams in delivering effective student and family support, lead on the Early Help process and be proactive in strengthening the effectiveness of safeguarding at the school to support our students to thrive. The role will involve delivering pastoral support to students and supporting families where identified and working with external agencies. The post will require the appointed person to be a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and will support teaching staff in meeting the wider holistic and pastoral needs of students. The role will also involve taking responsibility for agreed curriculum learning activities under a system of supervision; this may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes and monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting of students achievement, progress and development. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate they can work effectively with a team and also with a high degree of independence and autonomy, working strictly within DCC guidelines, policies and statutory regulations.
