🌳🐝🍎 A wonderful day at Orchard Farm! 🐑🐐
A huge thank you to Orchard Farm for welcoming our Scouts group for a fantastic day of learning and fun! 💚
We started with a fun game exploring the diversity of an ecosystem and the different living things found under the soil, on the soil and around the farm. 🌱🪱🐞

We explored the orchard and learnt all about bees and pollination, including how bees carry pollen from flower to flower, helping to pollinate the apple trees and allowing the blossoms to develop into apples. 🐝🍎
We also got to meet the sheep and goats, enjoyed lunch in an incredible polytunnel, and even got to try some delicious homemade cake! 🐑🐐🍰

To finish the day, we learnt about wool and had a go at using a wool carder to prepare the wool for making a rug — getting stuck in and helping to pull and work the wool! 🧶✨

What a brilliant day of hands-on learning, discovering nature and experiencing the wonderful diversity of life within an ecosystem! 💚
