Support Your Childs Learning

The partnership between parents, carers and school staff is extremely important.

By working together, we can support your child in their learning and hopefully help them achieve the highest possible standards.

How you can help your child:

  • Learning should be fun - let them help with shopping, cooking, and in the garden
  • Encourage them to read, but let them read things that interest them. The local libraries are free and have very helpful staff who can advise you and show your child what's available
  • The Internet has some very good web sites. Look at the MyMaths page on this website. It would be wonderful if you could encourage your child to do this. All students have got login details. If you would like more information, please contact your childs tutor
  • Keep a stock of paper, pens, pencils, glue sticks, and safety scissors. Recycle cereal boxes, tubes, old fabric, and encourage your children to make things

The Lampard Home Learning Policy has been developed as a response to parent stakeholder feedback. Tutors will be working with parents and students to develop learning opportunities outside of school without putting undue pressure on children or families. It is personalised to individual children and class tutors are very happy to discuss this with you, please give us a call.

There are various websites and learning resources that students can access via our Home Learning page.

Students are also encouraged to take part in community activities such as cubs, guides, sports and youth clubs. If you need help finding out about what is available in your local area, please contact the Care and Safeguarding Team at Lampard.
