Umber Class - Lower School Activity Days 2019
Umber had an amazing time during activities week.
In Forest school we used tools to sharpen sticks and toasted marshmallows. Milika said, “my fingers were getting sticky” but all agreed that marshmallows between chocolate biscuits are delicious!
They were fascinated to find out how the steam train at Woody bay worked. Harlee said, “I saw the furnace, the brakes, the water level and the cord for the whistle.” In Lynmouth some of the children overcame their fears when we rode on the cliff railway. The views across the beach and out to sea were amazing. James commented, “I liked being outside and you could see everywhere.” At Northam Burrows we played frizby and football. Patrick remembered, “I made a flag, it was flying in the sky.” The children thought it was great that they found lots of different kinds of poo!!!
The highlight of the week was of course Crealy. I heard shouts of “this is the best day ever!” from inside the water slides as the children raced back up the hill again for another go.
Umber class were a complete pleasure to take out and about, we can’t wait for our next adventure
