Accessibility Statement for Lampard School
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Lampard School is a specialist Communication and Interaction school for children and young people aged 5–16. As a school within the Special Partnership Trust, we are committed to inclusion, accessibility and equity in everything we do, including how we share information digitally.
We recognise that many of our pupils, families, and visitors may have additional needs, including communication difficulties, sensory differences, cognitive impairments, or physical disabilities. We are committed to ensuring our website is accessible and usable for as many people as possible.
This website is built using the Juniper Education website platform, which is designed to support accessible content creation and compliance with current accessibility standards.
Accessibility Standards
We aim for this website to be accessible in accordance with:
- The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018
- The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA
These standards are the benchmark used by the Department for Education (DfE) to assess public sector and school website accessibility.
How We Make This Website Accessible
We have taken steps to ensure that the website:
- Uses clear, simple language to support understanding
- Is structured using appropriate headings and landmarks
- Can be navigated using a keyboard
- Works with screen readers and assistive technologies
- Allows users to zoom in up to 400% without loss of content
- Uses colours with sufficient contrast
- Includes alternative text for images where meaningful
- Avoids unnecessary flashing or moving content
These principles align with the Trust’s vision of empowering learners, families and communities, and with national guidance on accessible public-sector content.
Known Accessibility Limitations
While we aim for full accessibility, we are aware that:
- Some older PDF or Word documents may not be fully accessible
- Some images added historically may not yet have appropriate alternative text
- Content provided by third-party platforms (e.g. embedded media or external tools) is outside of our direct control
Where documents are essential (for example, forms or key information for parents and carers), we make reasonable adjustments to ensure accessibility, in line with DfE guidance on essential content.
