C and I Specialist Teacher
Are you an experienced Communication and Interaction specialist teacher, passionate about delivering high-quality outreach support to education professionals across a variety of settings?
Do you have a strong background in the special school consultation process and managing transitions?
Are you a creative, calm, and highly professional teacher with the expertise to monitor and enhance our Total Communication provision?
Lampard Community School is a successful and over-subscribed special school in North Devon, catering for pupils aged 5–16 with a range of special educational needs. From 1st September 2025, we will be joining the Special Partnership Trust, with whom we already work in partnership to deliver funded outreach support to mainstream schools across Devon.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, skilled, and experienced Communication and Interaction (C&I) Specialist Outreach Teacher to join our highly regarded teaching team from the Autumn Term. This is a full-time position.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding and innovative teacher who is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND. Applicants must have:
• Significant experience of teaching in a special school
• Recent and relevant experience of delivering Outreach support at a Local Authority or equivalent level
• A proven track record of supporting children with SEND to achieve excellent outcomes
The successful candidate will have a teaching commitment within Lampard Community School, contribute to consultations and transitions, and be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Communication and Interaction Outreach to support colleagues in other schools.
