🌳✨ Herons Class had an amazing time learning outside during the RSPB Birdwatch earlier this term! 🐦
📊 This fun activity tied in perfectly with our maths focus on data handling, letting the kids dive into nature while picking up some important skills. Armed with binoculars, they explored the forest area, eagerly spotting different bird species and jotting down their observations.
The students gathered their findings using tally charts, which not only boosted their understanding of data collection but also encouraged teamwork and collaboration. Back in the classroom, they turned their data into colourful pictograms, showing off their creativity and analytical skills. This hands-on approach really shows how we can mix nature and learning in a fun way! 🌿
