Yeo Class Adventures – Growing Every Day πŸŒΏπŸ‘

It’s been a busy and rewarding spring term for Yeo Class. We’ve embraced hands-on learning while building confidence and independence.

Yeo Class has truly embraced the spirit of #FutureFridays this spring, taking learning beyond the classroom to build real-world skills and give back to our community 🌍✨

🚜 Life on the Farm
Our weekly visits to Futures Farm have been a real highlight! Students stepped up as young farmers, taking responsibility for caring for the animals. We’ve been especially busy welcoming new life—feeding newborn lambs and piglets and making sure their pens stay clean, safe, and comfortable πŸ‘πŸ–

🚌 Independent Travel Skills
As part of our college preparation, we headed into Barnstaple to develop independent travel skills. After practicing road safety, students confidently navigated public transport—checking timetables and managing the journey back to Newport with growing independence πŸ—ΊοΈπŸ‘

β˜• Reading Café Hosts
We were delighted to host Squirrels Class for our Reading Café! It was a lovely afternoon of literacy and social connection, with students sharing favourite books and running a “biscuit shop,” where younger pupils practiced using coins πŸ“šπŸͺ

πŸͺ΄ Sunshine in the Garden
With the sunshine arriving, we’ve been busy outdoors—pruning bushes, tidying flower beds, and planting seeds in the polytunnel. Watching everything begin to grow has been the perfect way to end the term πŸŒ±β˜€οΈ

A fantastic term of outdoor learning, teamwork, and personal growth! πŸ’š
