Outreach
We have developed an outreach offer which supports and assists our colleagues in mainstream schools, both primary and secondary, in achieving successful and inclusive education for young people with SEN. We have a strong staff team in the area of Communication and Interaction who are experienced at working with children and young people with a significant level of need.
Some of the ways in which we can offer support would include:
- Advice and guidance in planning, differentiating and personalising the curriculum for those pupils working significantly below age-related expectations.
- Short observations of pupils with complex needs and recommendations for effective strategies to use in supporting them.
- Opportunities for teachers and/or teaching assistants to visit Lampard to observe our classroom practice and view resources on an in-reach basis.
We are able to offer this general school-to-school outreach and inreach free of charge, as and when our resources allow (we don't get funded to do this but we want to help if we can!) We are currently only able to provide verbal feedback, not written reports, and advice is given based on our own expertise.
Interested? Please fill in the outreach form below and email to Kristel Norris knorris@lampard.devon.sch.uk
April to October 2025: Transition Project - Year 6 pupils into Year 7
The Special Partnership Trust has given us the opportunity to work with mainstream schools, collaborating to co-produce the implementation of specialist information advice and guidance for Year 7s. The focus is on supporting whole-school approaches to support learners with SEN in the transition from primary to secondary.
If you are a Head Teacher of a mainstream secondary school in Devon and would like us to help you with your new Year 7 cohort, or for further information on how to access any support, please contact us via email as above.
We look forward to working with you to support Devon's children!
