At Lampard we understand what a big step it is moving from one school to another which is why we provide every student with a personalised transition plan to help the process to run as smoothly as possible. 

When your child's place at Lampard is confirmed, our SEND leads will visit the current school to put together a bespoke plan, and arrange visits to us here at Lampard with supporting staff from the current setting.

The visits to Lampard are a great opportunity to meet our experienced and friendly team of staff, take photographs of key people and places and begin to feel comfortable in their new environment. Having a member of staff from the current school means all students get to share their exciting experience with a key person who can be there to answer questions when they get back to school.

At Lampard we pride ourselves on working collaboratively with colleagues and parents/carers who play an important role in helping us to provide a positive and effective transition experience.

Your child's transition programme will be managed by Mrs Norris (Head of SEND) and Mr Austen (Middle Leader for SEND).
